Post-Tension Concrete has been the preferred method of tennis court construction for the past 25 years.  This method of construction utilizes high strength cables instead of traditional rebar for concrete reinforcement.  Cables are placed on a grid pattern (see photos) and stressed as concrete cures.  This method prevents cracks from opening & closing due to expansion/contraction.

Post-Tension Construction can be used on a newly prepared dirt pad or over existing court structures.  Many clients are looking for a permanent cure for badly cracked and deteriorated courts.  By overlaying with post-tension concrete, little or no site work is required and costs are kept to a minimum.  In many cases existing fences can also be re-used resulting in cost savings to the owner.

The initial cost of construction is not cheap, however this is by far the most permanent , longest lasting, and lowest maintenance method of construction available today.

Why should you use Beard Tennis Court Construction?  We take the time to do it right.

Have you ever seen new courts with standing water (birdbaths) all over?  How about rough spots, holes, or cable blowouts?  We didn’t do them.

We take the time to set & re-enforce  forms to exact grades.  We take the time to ensure that we have the right amount of concrete above & below our cables so that there are no problems down the road.  We take the time to pour & finish our concrete so that it will drain properly and promote proper adhesion of acrylic materials.

In short, we take great pride in our work.  Please visit some of our completed facilities & compare for yourself.
